Golf Habit Tracker

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 15, 2026

This policy explains how Golf Habit Tracker, provided by Alexander Gunnarsson (“we,” “us,” or “the app”), handles information.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the courses you create, scorecards, practice notes, session history, statistics, and preferences locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload this golf data to our servers.

Scorecard photos

If you choose to scan a physical scorecard, Apple’s on-device Vision framework processes the image to recognize text. Golf Habit Tracker does not upload scorecard photos for recognition. You control camera and photo-library access through iOS Settings.

Purchases and RevenueCat

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage premium access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase history, product and entitlement information, locale, and currency. We use this information for app functionality and subscription analytics. We do not attach it to a Golf Habit Tracker account, because the app has no user accounts.

Firebase Analytics

Golf Habit Tracker sends only approved feature-event names and a random installation identifier to Firebase so we can understand aggregated use and improve the app.

Golf Habit Tracker does not send scores, course or club names, scorecard images, practice notes, goals, dates, error messages, subscription identity, or other golf content to Firebase. It does not collect IDFA or IDFV for analytics and does not set a Firebase user ID. Analytics data is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, profiling, or identity linkage.

Google processes this analytics data on our behalf. Google’s applicable retention and deletion practices govern data processed by Firebase.

Support requests

If you submit the support form, we receive the name you choose to provide, your email address, and your message. Netlify processes the form submission on our behalf so we can respond. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain service records, or meet legal obligations.

Sharing and exports

When you share a session, coach report, or data export, iOS presents a system share sheet. The app sends the selected content only to the destination you choose. The destination’s privacy practices then apply.

External links

If you open an external course website or another third-party link, that site receives information normally sent by your browser, such as your IP address and browser details. Its own privacy policy applies.

Advertising, tracking, and sale of data

Golf Habit Tracker does not contain advertising, does not use cross-app tracking or advertising identifiers, and does not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Local golf data remains on your device until you delete it in Settings or uninstall the app. Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction records according to their own legal obligations and privacy policies. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

Legal bases and your rights

Where data-protection law applies, we process purchase information to provide the subscription you requested and for our legitimate interest in operating and improving purchase functionality. Device permissions are under your control. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the support form.
